Vid Pros: Above all things, I suppose, I love a good story. I don't care if it's canon or completely AR, just show me a good story. I also love original ideas, or even just the same old idea looked at in a new or fresh way. Vidders can often completely sell me by the strength of their idea alone.

Vid Cons: Over-use of effects and quick fire editing that doesn't serve the story or mood; flashes enough to make someone blind; tired or repetitive musical choices; letting the music overpower the video; overuse of slow motion; carelessness (typos, mistakes in crediting, sloppiness)

Anything Else: I've been vidding for around three years. At first, it was only "General Hostpial" vids, but I've branched out into numerous fandoms since. I tend to engage with vids the same way I engage with films: I give a fair amount of weight to my gut reaction, but I'm also likely to analyze very closely. But fear not the overthinker, because we're all here to have fun and be a part of a constantly growing artistic community.

Vid Pros: Creativity and originality are essential and the first things I look for in making a video memorable. I like good clip-to-lyric matches that don't veer off the main story. I prefer more "natural" looking videos. Make me care or at least be interested in character(s) I don't know, don't care about or am indifferent towards.

Vid Cons: Bad music that doesn't enhance the video; too many effects that overshadow the sotry; too much dialogue; uneven or inconsistent editing; strobe effects

Anything Else: I've watched vids for years. I was first introduce to them through Capture-This, a website featuring "General Hospital" vids, and eventually tried my own hand at a few videos.
